BUBBLE is an interactive media player that allows users to DJ / VJ with music, videos, and images that they have in their collection, as well as with videos streamed straight into the player through youtube. It was developed as an adobe air application for my major project in my Masters of Interactive & Digital Media at Sydney university.

An alpha version of BUBBLE is up for anyone to download. It’s still got quite a few bugs and there’s a whole lot of things I’d like to change / update but I haven’t had time yet so I decided to put it up as is to see if anyone wants to try it.

-If you do probably avoid using the paint tool, it’s pretty problematic at the moment and will probably slow everything down.
-Currently the only video format BUBBLE is playing is FLV. FLV is the main format for videos on the web at the moment and if you don’t have any you can easily find free converters. Alternatively there is a YouTube search feature that allows you to search for and then stream videos directly from youtube into BUBBLE.
-For music BUBBLE supports MP3 only, I hope to include all the video, image and music files Adobe Air supports soon.
BUBBLE WEB DEMO NOW AVAILABLE
Warning: There is currently a bug possibly caused by new security restrictions in the flash player that can cause the streaming video to sometimes not be visible, and visuals not to sync with audio in the BUBBLE WEB DEMO.
I apologize if it does not appear and will fix it as soon as I can.

The web demonstration is an interactive instructional walk through of the features of bubble, with a free
demonstration at the end that allows users complete access to try all the features they have just experienced. This
is the first version of the web demo, and there are still a few features that need to be added, and some bugs
to be fixed. Please leave any feed back in the form after the demonstration available at: http://andyvern.com/bubble-web-demo-feedback/
